Too Cute Not to Post

Alex is just so cute! Yeah, I know, I'm biased! This is Eric & Alex playing in her favorite spot in the kitchen.

My Sweet Baby!

I can't believe my sweet baby is already 1 1/2 today! Where does the time go???

Getting Excited!

Just 1 week until we leave for the beautiful island of St. Maarten! I'm so excited! I packed Alex's suitcase a few nights ago. I had to have her try on several outfits to make sure they still fit...she walked around for several hours in her swimsuit and flip flops, she didn't want to take them off. This will be her first airplane trip so I'm a little nervous for all the other passengers - but I'm sure we'll do just fine.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caught the Bandit Red Handed!

So lately I've been noticing some of my stuff missing (it always turns up eventually). I had a feeling I knew who was doing it, I just didn't know what she was doing with it! So the other day I was watching her play with Daddy's hat, then low & behold....I figured it out!

She's been hiding it in her tricycle then "wheeling" off with it!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

I am so excited....Alex has started potty-ing in the "big girl" potty! Eric & I bought her a potty seat last night and Alex was so excited that she could barely wait to sit on it. I let her sit on it for a little while once we put it all together and she had the biggest smile on her face. Of course I left my camera at work (I was trying to post my halloween pictures at work the other day but never got around to finishing it). I kept asking her if she was done yet but she kept telling me no and would squirm around on the seat. After about a minute, she went potty!!!!! I was so shocked and excited - of course I made a big deal out of it and she gave me and daddy about 10 high fives!

So, hoping that this wasn't just a one-time deal, I asked her if she wanted to go potty as soon as she got up this morning and she did!!!! I hope it always goes this smoothly!

I'm still a little shocked.....she's not even 18 months old yet!

Introducing Pepples...

Alex never ceases to amaze me and Halloween this year was no exception! Alex went as Pepples Flinstone and had so much fun! We trick-or-treated with Eric's sister, Kristy, and her two kids, Spiderman (Adam) and Catwoman (Abby). Our first stop was to Eric's cousins: Mike & Donetta. We visited with them for a little bit, took pictures, then decided to walk around their cul-de-sac for trick-or-treating. Alex marched right up to the first house, got a little shy but stuck out her bag. After she realized they were putting candy in her bag it was like putting rockets on her shoes! She was so excited and literally RAN to the next couple of houses. I couldn't get her to stop long enough for me to take a few pictures! If I didn't know any better I would have thought she was already tanked up on candy!

Next, it was on to Eric's aunt & uncle's house. Aunt Sis always goes ALL OUT for the kids. She had her whole garage decorated! She had all kinds of different activities and games for the kids. She had a bean bag toss, apple bobbing, pumpkin pinata, you name it, she had it! Be sure to watch the videos too! They even had a bonfire in the back yard so that we could roast hot dogs! We didn't stay long enough, next year we'll plan to go there last so that we can stay as long as we want. Alex cried when we had to leave.
